Recorded in 2011 and 2012 “Du Grand Désir” comes as no surprise to those who have experienced the intensity of Horologium’s “Tellurian Anthems” album. This new full-length CD delivers eight tracks ranging from ritual ambient to martial anthems and ethnic dances. This solemn and yet strangely uplifting release, where the Orient meets the Occident, is perhaps one of the most varied works to date for Horologium. With additional help from the Chilean artist Der Arbeiter on two tracks, and beautiful artwork by Stefan Alt, this release is a must-have for all fans of the genre.

The line between light and darkness is very thin here. I can feel myself being torn apart every second of the album. But my path through it will be the enlightenment to have heard something so great. mansken
The album art alone evokes picturesque scenes of a lonely hero wading through the desert, desperately looking for meaning and a way to achieve the ultimate goal of mankind: immortality.
What is told in script is now told in a musical soundscape. My conclusion is, is that its as epic as the worlds oldest poem itself. LyrikalKhaos
A compilation collects all of the Philadelphia goth-noise project's previous singles and EPs into one dark, swirling mass. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 12, 2018
The overall feel here is hushed, almost reverential, and very dark. Listening, one almost hears the echoes of rituals that were once performed for these ancient deities in caves thick with incense, or atop lofty mountain ledges razored by freezing winds, upon altars dripping with fluids best left unnamed.
